The Post Office has announced that dozens of large Crown branches – those owned directly by the company – could close, with the possible loss of hundreds of jobs.
The Communications Workers Union has announced a coming fight as the Post Office confirmed the details of its transformation plan.
The branches concerned collectively employ nearly 1,000 people and would be significantly in deficit.
