ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Blind Cricket Board (PBCC) has announced a 16-member squad led by Nasir Ali for the upcoming Blind T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in Pakistan from November 23 to December 3.
The Blind Cricket Team Selection Committee comprising Masood Jan, Muhammad Jameel and Tahir Mehmood Butt announced the team after approval by PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah.
Badr Mounir will take over as vice-captain of the National Blind Cricket Team.
The PBCC also appointed three reserve players, namely Mohammad Ayaz, Moin Aslam and Mohammad Rashid, while the team officials included Jamil as head coach, Masood as assistant coach, Malik Abrar Hussain as team manager, Naveed Hussain Abbasi as assistant manager, and Tahir. As a coach.
The home team will begin their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign against South Africa with a curtain raiser.
PBCC President Shah said that the team has a mix of senior players and promising young talents, who have delivered impressive performances in recent domestic tournaments. He also expressed his hope that the team will live up to the nation’s expectations in the upcoming mega event.
