Microsoft said it began “rolling out a fix” after users reported issues with Outlook and Teams.
The tech giant said Monday that users were impacted due to a “recent change” to its Exchange Online program.
The issue meant users struggled to send or upload email attachments when using Outlook, were unable to connect to the server, and in some cases were unable to log into their accounts.
Microsoft Exchange Online is a business communications platform with an email server and cloud applications for email, contacts, and calendars.

As of 2 p.m., Microsoft’s Services Status website indicated that all systems were operating normally.
Down Detector, a website that tracks outages, said the technical problems began around 8 a.m.
Users from the UK and across Europe took to social media to report that they were having difficulty accessing the platform.
One user wrote: “When you need to check an important email, but #outlook decides not to work…”

Microsoft directed affected users to its admin center, a page intended for those with access to corporate networks and other professionals who manage computer networks. The page requires a login.
