KARACHI: Pakistan continued their winning streak in the 2024 Junior Hockey Asia Cup with a 6-0 win over Bangladesh in their second group match in Muscat, Oman on Thursday.

This is Pakistan’s second consecutive victory in the tournament, after winning the opening match over China 7-2.

Sufyan Khan was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick to lead his team to victory. He opened the scoring in the 23rd minute from a penalty kick to give Pakistan the early lead.

Moments later, Mohamed Emad doubled the score to make it 2-0 via a field goal.

Sufyan scored again in the 32nd and 43rd minutes to extend Pakistan’s lead, and these successive goals also completed his hat-trick. Rana Walid added the fifth goal in the 51st minute, and Zakia Hayat completed the scoring with the sixth in the last minute of the match.

Mohamed Emad was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance in the match.

Pakistan’s next match will be on November 30, where they will face Oman in the third match of the group stage.
