The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced that Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup received an excellent rating, the highest rating in the history of the tournament, according to what was announced by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). The Kingdom’s offer in July under the slogan “Growing Together” is consistent with its Vision 2030, which aims to make Saudi Arabia a global leader in hosting major sporting events, such as the FIFA Club World Cup and the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Meshal, confirmed that the file focuses on providing an exceptional experience for the tournament.

He said: “Football is at the heart of Saudi culture, and we aim to deliver an unforgettable event that highlights the Kingdom’s rich heritage and famous hospitality.”

The evaluation process included an inspection visit conducted in October, during which FIFA evaluated several host cities, stadiums and proposed facilities.

The Kingdom’s bid proposes hosting matches in 15 stadiums in five major cities – Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and NEOM – with an additional 10 host sites, and aims to host the first 48-team FIFA World Cup to be held in one country. .

Meanwhile, Hammad Al-Balawi, Head of Saudi Arabia’s Bid Unit for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, said: “Our bid demonstrates the progress we have made in football and our commitment to delivering the highest technical standards.
