The Quebec Ministry of Health warns people who may have been exposed to measles in several regions of the province to monitor symptoms in the context of a new outbreak of the disease.
Marie-Pierre Blier of the Quebec Ministry of Health says four cases were confirmed in the province Friday in connection with an outbreak that began last month.
She says all of the confirmed cases contracted measles in the province, with the first person being exposed to someone who lives outside of Canada but traveled to Quebec while contagious.

On its website, the government lists 12 different possible exhibition locations in the Laurentides region of the province, as well as two in Laval and one in Montreal.
The government says people who have traveled to these areas, especially those who are not vaccinated, should watch out for symptoms such as high fever, cough, runny nose as well as red eyes and rashes. on the face and body.
The Ministry of Health says it has confirmed a total of 56 cases of measles in 2024.
