Married at First Sight: Allen Slovick’s frustration grows
On Married at first sight, Allen Slovick struggles with Madison Myer’s lack of attraction. He goes to the gym. And lose the broccoli strips. Hell, he even agreed to drop some of his corny jokes. But he’s not stupid. So, his lack of affection and attraction is clear as day. The couple likes to party. But chat after a visit to a bar to watch a football game when Allen wants to drive home after drinking.
Madison warns him against this. But he says he’s fine. The next morning, he gives flimsy excuses as to why he took this risk. He claims he just got up early and has things to do. But it seems there are still tensions. Thus, the MAFS mismatch, meet expert Dr Pepper Schwartz to dig a little deeper. Allen Slovick tells Pepper that no matter what he does, he just doesn’t feel like Madison is attracted to him. So he flatly asks her if it’s true.
Madison Myers replies that it’s a strange question about Married at first sight. She says she is attracted to his kindness. But at this point, that’s not what Allen Slovick wants to hear. It also presents her as being much more natural with hugs and interactions with the rest of the cast, especially David Trimble. So, is this a sign of a certain mixing of Chicago actors? Inquiring minds want to know.
Married at First Sight: Ikeche Ojore Takes No Responsibility
On MAFS, Ikeche Ojore is quickly becoming this season’s resident asshole. He has already left the apartment he shares with Emem Obot. And embarrassed her at the couple’s anniversary dinner. Emem Obot is still stung by the criticism and insults he also inflicted on him. She sits down with Dr. Pia Holec who drops the ball here by suggesting that it’s Emem who’s too sassy for Ikeche.
Across town, Pastor Cal Roberson meets with Ikeche Ojore. Who complains that Emem was pushing him to be intimate before he was ready. And asks too many questions. Of course, Pastor Cal is appalled. How he loves it when Married at first sight couples directly enjoy all the benefits of being legally married. He puts Ikeche in his place for calling her an asshole. But he still wants him to try the experience again.
Later, the experts sit down with Ikeche and Emem. It’s all kinds of embarrassing stuff. Especially when Pastor Cal Roberson tries to explain Ikeche’s bad behavior by saying he’s an art and she’s a science. In other words, suggesting that Emem tone things down so as not to insult his sensitive, silly hipster side. Finally, it is Emem Obot who asks him to move back into the apartment. He agrees, but tells a producer he’s not happy about it.
MAFS couples show their true selves
In other complicated matches on Married at first sight, Michelle Tomblin makes some headway during a meeting with Dr. Pepper and David Trimble as their different pasts and viewpoints come into play. But Michelle thinks he needs a change in style, so she I’m going shopping with a friend. At the store, she suggests he try on styles that give off Drake and Travis Kelce vibes. David is a good sport. But next week’s scenes suggest he’s taken those style vibes elsewhere.
Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald continue to be steady, if not a little boring. Thomas seems to be holding back a bit to play it safe. The duo is responsible for the standard MAFS mission to write a letter to your younger self. Camille admits to caring for her younger siblings amid her parents’ divorce. And Thomas gets emotional about his father and his childhood insecurities. But these two have the best chance of succeeding.
Juan Franco was visibly worried when Karla Juarez quit her job at a hair salon. Married at first sight. To her credit, she already does her clients’ hair at home. Juan talks to him about the business side of things. But she is convinced that the energy of the universe and a few pink crystals will give her everything she needs to succeed. She wants Juan to understand her better. So she takes him to a Pilates class with his mentor. He leaves with pain in his glutes and his own crystal. Namaste until next time!
