Boston – The Wegmans popular grocery chain recalled frozen chicken chicken chips in several northeast states to fear that there may be fragments of bone in the packages.
A public health alert was issued for chicken breasts breaded with wegmans entirely cooked freezed by the Food security and inspection service of the American Department of Agriculture.
The product is no longer on sale, but the food security and inspection service said it was starring that consumers can always have some of the Nugget packages in their freezers. Consumers who still have the nuggets are asked not to eat the product, and to throw it back or return it to the store where it was bought.
There was no confirmed injury report due to people eating chicken chips.
Wegmans Chicken Nugget Reminder
The Health alert covers 46 ounce plastic packaging containing breaded chicken chicken chips fully cooked entirely with coastal meat date ”with a better use date of August 26, 2025.
This information is located at the rear of the packaging, next to the barcode, in the lower right corner. The product was produced on August 26, 2024.
Where did Wegmans recalled chicken nuggets?
The nuggets were produced for Wegmans by Lost, which was the subject of a Large recall of chicken nuggets last year.
Consumer alert was published for Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC
The food and inspection security service said it was informed of the problem after Wegmans received several complaints from consumers of bone fragments in the product.
Wegmans said that all packages can be returned for a full refund.
