Madrid: Jenny Hermoso, winner of the Spanish Women’s World Cup, faced former president of the Football Association Luis Rubiales in his trial on Monday, saying that she does not agree to the qiblah that sparked national reactions against sexual discrimination in sports.
“I knew that I was kissed by my managers, and this should not happen in any social environment or work,” Hermoso said of the meeting that millions watched around the world at the 2023 World Cup Awards in Australia.
“I think this moment was one of the happiest days in my life,” 34 -year -old striker told the Madrid Court while noting notes without looking at them.
Rubiales, 47, is accused of sexual assault, and then tries to force Hermoso – with the help of three other men – to announce that the kiss was mutual.
