Purplebricks, the online real estate agent belonging to Sir Charles Dunstone, one of the most prolific entrepreneurs in Great Britain, parachuted in an acting director general 18 months after its cancellation of the London stock market.

Sky News learned that the shareholders of Strike, the parent company of Purplebricks, were informed this week that Stuart Bartlett, a former manager of the automotive industry, was appointed in the role.

Strike belongs to Freston Ventures, Sir Charles’s investment vehicle.

He plunged to buy Desbricks in June 2023 for only £ 1, reflecting the crisis that had swallowed up the eminent digital real estate agent.

Mr. Bartlett’s profile on LinkedIn, the professional networking site, lists him as an advisor to the Board of Directors of Purplebricks and a strike investor.

He replaces Sam Mitchell, who resigned at the end of last year.

According to the update broadcast to investors, the executive president of Strike, Andrew Harrison – a long -standing colleague from Talktalk and the co -founder of Carphone Warehouse, Sir Charles – also took a number of other appointments for seniors.

This is in particular a new national sales director and an acting group leader to replace Deepak Jayaprakash, his former financial director.

Hundreds of jobs have been cut in Purplebricks since the takeover in 2023.

The company could not be attached to comment.
