Dubai: The Champions Cup begins on Wednesday with the best eight teams in the world competing in Pakistan and Dubai for the prestigious title.
AFP Sports look at three games expected in the group stage of the fifty championship:
Australia against England
Saddam is an ash competitor in Lahore on Saturday.
The Australian World Cup holders had the upper hand against their old opponents in the last fifty match and won the 3-2 series last year last year.
But both come to the Champions Cup with question marks hanging on them.
Australia is not without “the three adult” heart attacks – Pat Kamins (ankle), Hosh Hazelod (hip joint) and Mitchell Stark, who chose for personal reasons.
Add in the absence of all rounds Mitchell Marsh (Al -Awda) and Marcus Stoyens (retired), and half of their regular team is missing.
The exhausted side suffered a heavy defeat 2-0 in Sri Lanka on the eve of the championship.
England, with test coach Brendon McCallum, is now responsible, was not better and 3-0 in India.
Since winning the 2019 and 2022 T20 World Cup, England has struggled with white cricket.
India against Pakistan
TV categories are issued with millions of seizures to watch the bow competitors at any time they are in, due to the deep competition between nuclear armed neighbors.
The two teams meet on Sunday in Dubai.
The clash tickets were sold minutes after selling, as more than 150,000 fans have contacted online to seize a seat in a 25,000 stadium.
India refused to visit Pakistan to obtain the Champions Cup, forcing the latter to agree to be partially abandoning hosting rights in Dubai after a long confrontation.
On the field, India is preferred to win the championship for the third time, while Swansong is expected to be Rohit Sharma.
Pakistan is pregnant and unpredictable.
Afghanistan against England
More than 160 British politicians invited England to boycott the match in Lahore on February 26 due to the erosion of women’s rights by the Taliban authorities in Afghanistan.
Commander Jose Bater rejected this idea, saying: “I don’t think the boycott is the way it revolves around.”
Except for shock at the last minute around the face, the game will continue.
After being hit well in India last week, Buttler insisted that England could be “dangerous” in the Champions Cup, even if modern evidence indicates otherwise.
Afghanistan has become an emerging power in the white cricket game in recent years, as it has ranked eighth in ODI global rankings, in one place under England.
Afghan defeated Australia on its way to a historic place in the semi -finals of the T20 World Cup last year, before losing to South Africa.
