The next event is scheduled to run in T20 this time and will contain up to 19 games. The Asian Cup this year is likely to be organized between the second and fourth week of September.

The Asian Championship will witness eight teams, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Hong Kong, along with India and Pakistan.

However, Nepal, who remained part of the 2023 Asian Cup, will remain absent from the event because it failed to qualify for this version.

The teams will be divided into two groups, as in the last version, and the two teams will advance from each group to the four super stage, with the best of the two to the final.
