Karachi: The light from South Africa rejected Rassi van der Dossin concerns about pressure and fatigue on Saturday, as his team prepared for the semi -finals of the International Criminal Court Championship after his dominant victory over England.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Dossin remained realistic about the upcoming challenges, including the potential fatigue to travel before the semi -finals.
When asked if the long -term dehydration of the ICC prizes added pressure on the probase, he refused the idea and said: “At the end of the day, if we win, it is the first ICC Cup in a while.
“We don’t really focus on it. If we get to a final, we will try to play a good game a day and see what a result.”
South Africa’s journey to the semi -finals was unclear. The team faces uncertainty in its next destination. Although they travel to Dubai tomorrow, it is still unclear whether they will play the semi -finals against India in Dubai or will return to Lahore and play Australia.
Dosin, however, is uncomfortable by logistical challenges. “That is what it is. Physically, it was not long on a trip. It would be good to sit in one hotel all the time on one floor like some difference, but this is not true for everyone,” he said.
“We will be on board and see what is happening tomorrow. Mental, we just need to update and make sure we are at the level of it.”
If South Africa advances to confront India in Dubai, Dossin admits that the Indian team will have a clear advantage, after playing all its matches there.
“Certainly, it’s definitely an advantage. They were in one hotel, one of one reasons, one training facility. But we do not spend a lot of mental energy on it. That’s what it is. The challenge for them is to use this feature. For us, if we play against them, somewhat, this feature does not matter, he said.
The “suffocating” sign, which was often linked to South Africa, was also brought in high risk championships. Van Der Dussen rejected the mark, stressing that it does not specify the current team.
“As one team, this does not specify us. This is in the past. You lose some difference and no one invites them to the pig. When we lose, they call us the pig. I don’t know why the difference,” he said.
Thinking about the strong performance of South Africa in the championship, causing familiarity with conditions in Pakistan, especially Karachi, as a main factor.
After playing in the Pakistani Premier League (PSL) and a triple series leading to the Champions Cup, he and his colleague David Miller managed to share ideas with the team.
“From the point of view of multiplication, there are some technical adjustments that you make. In South Africa, there is a lot of apostasy, so only some changes in your multiplication scheme. We definitely informed that,” I explained.
We look forward to Dubai, Dossin noticed the differences in the stadium conditions compared to Karachi. He said: “In Dubai, the archers are usually a little more. There is a movement of more seams and some rotation. The fields are not as fast as here, so they are generally from the lower floor.” However, he remained confident that the ability to adapt to the team will serve them well.
South Africa’s concentration is now moving to its clash in the semi -finals, as they aim to get rid of the weight of disappointments in the past and continue their strong operation in the tournament.
