Karachi: The International Football Association (FIFA) raised the comment on the Pakistani Football Association after the PFF conference agreed to the constitutional amendments imposed by the Football Control Authority and the Confederation of Asian Football (AFC).
“On March 2, 2025, the FIFA Board Office decided to raise the suspension imposed on PFF on February 6, 2025,” the football governing body said in a statement.
He added that the decision was taken after the PFF conference unanimously agreed to the PFF constitution version, which was validated by FIFA and AFC, by fulfilling the office established in its decision on February 6.
Shahid Khukhar, a member of the PFF Normalization Committee, confirmed Geo News Pakistan’s comment has been raised, making the country eligible to resume international football activities.
“The comment was raised after the successful result of the exceptional Congress on February 27,” Khulakhar said. “We thank FIFA and AFC for their continuous support for Pakistani football and expand our heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistani football community.”
With the suspension raised, all PFF membership rights were restored, as specified in FIFA laws. This allows the PFF representative and the club’s teams participating in international competitions again.
FIFA commented last month after members of the PFF conference initially refused to accept constitutional amendments, which were necessary to ensure a transparent electoral process. However, during the follow -up meeting on February 27, Congress agreed to the amendments.
Raising the suspension paves the way for Pakistan’s participation in the Asian Asian Cup qualifiers. PFF has already announced that she was unable to participate because of the comment.
