Madrid: Real Madrid won a minimal 2-1 victory over their competitors in the city of Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League at last 16 on Tuesday.

Julian Alvarez went to Atletico after Rodrigo sent the hosts forward, but Brahim Diaz dismantled the winner of his victory over 15 times to delight the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

“I think we played a full game today, (my goal) was good and we got the victory, but it did not end,” Diaz told Movistar.

“There is still the second station and we have to give everything, as we did today.”

Diego Simon Atletico, who lost in the 2014 and 2016 finals against their bitter competitors, kept the stars Vinicius Junior and Killian Mbappe calm but still short.

Rojiblancos has played as safe in the final stages, and it seems that they accept their faults in the same goal for Derby Clash at home next week.

“For a moment, we had the game under control, but we knew it would not be an easy match, because they were at home and they had great players,” Alvarez said.

“But we know that there are 90 minutes to go … it’s one goal, and another game, at home with our fans.”

Carlo Ancelotti chose the Madrid international coach in the midfield to replace the commentator of Pelingham, the commentator, and Fedy Valverde chose in the right back after he was passed to play.

The Italian demanded his team to show a better position and more commitment than it was during the defeat of La Liga by Real Betis on Saturday and handing over his concern.

Ancelotti said: “The second half was better (from the first), we worked hard, and we defended well, and our goal was to take a small feature and we did it.”

Rodrigo pounced after only four minutes, and slipped inside Javi Gallan to collect the exciting Valverde pass before shooting at his left home via Jean Oblak and inside the remote blush.

This was the fifth strike of the Brazilian championship of the tournament, as it was customary for the European stage of Madrid, with 25 goals in 61 games.

His compatriot Vinicius approached the second netting in Madrid, where he rushed to the box, but Jose Jiminies prevented him well.

“We are alive”

Atletico began to create a danger from Valverde to penetrate Juliano Simon’s whipped ball from under his crossbar under the pressure of Samuel Lino.

Alvarez tied with a wonderful individual goal, dancing away from Eduardo Kamavina to the left of the box and toured his shot through Thebut Cortua in the upper corner.

The former Manchester City striker has been in a lofty state in the past few weeks, as he achieved 10 goals in 14 games and proved why Atletico made him the second most expensive signature ever last summer.

Simon said: “They started better … I think the great excess of our team is that we did not surrender, we did not fear the theater after giving it early,” Simon said.

“We started playing, entering the game, having the ball more, and playing more in half.”

Antoine Griezmann and Rodrigo de Paul helped maintain long periods of time, as Madrid has found it difficult to restore the ball from their competitors.

This made it more surprising when Diaz regained the progress of Los Blancos in the 55th minute.

Midfielder Jiminies left on the ground with some quick works and carved space for a low decline, before he jumped to the crowd to celebrate.

Griezmann launched a large scale and GIMENEZ, while Atletico searched for a response, and Ancelotti brought 39 -year -old midfielder Luka Modric in search of more control.

The Croatian surrendered that completely and neither of the two parties threatened in the last half of the match until the time of stopping, when Madrid had got a third.

MBAPPE was behind the right behind Vinicius, who was waiting for the tap, and Oblak was saved from Modric in the wake.

Atletico Real Madrid host next week at Metropolitano Stadium, where the winner will face Arsenal or Psv Eindhoven in the quarter -finals.

“We are alive (in a tie) and we have to correct the mistakes that we made and go to at the second station,” said Atletico Marcos Lorenti midfielder.
