People were told to “immediately” to use paracetamol packages from boots after a packaging error.
Bours of stock markets affected by 16 tablets inside the paracetamol boxes were incorrectly wrapped in the form of “dispersible tablets of aspirin 300 mg” despite 500 mg paracetamol tablets.
The UK Medication and Health Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has urged customers to check if their packs have the Lot 241005 number at the bottom of the box.
“If they are assigned, they must stop using the product immediately and return it to a boot store for a full refund, with or without receipt,” said the agency.
The MHRA said that customers should not keep the box, even if the error is known because it could cause an incorrect dose.
Customers must also alert others if the tablets were brought for someone else.
Boots has also published on its official Facebook page to warn customers in the recall.
He added that the supplier, Aspar Pharmaceuticals Limited, confirmed that the tablets in the blister packs are paracetamol and not aspirin, and lead a “complete survey” on the problem.

Dr. Stephanie Millican, deputy director of the MHRA, said it was “of vital importance” to check the packaging.
“If the lot number is 241005, you should stop using the product and return it to a Boots store for a full refund,” she said.
“If you are not sure of the pack you have bought or have taken paracetamol boots of 500 mg of tablets and you have experienced side effects, ask a healthcare professional.”
