London: Harry Brock was appointed as a new leader in England, with team leader Rob Ki, who praised the “excellent cricket brain”.
On Monday, the Cricket Board of England and Wales confirmed that Brock will lead both international teams for one day and T20.
The 26 -year -old racket was the favorite of Khalaf Jose Bater, who stood in February after the end of the Pakistan Champions Cup with England’s failure to reach the semi -finals.
England failed to keep either its titles in the T20 or 50 World Cup under Bater’s leadership.
Brock was already Bater and stood as a leader during the ODI series against Australia in September.
Unlike many other potential candidates, Brook is also the choice of the first option through all formats.
Fears were raised about whether he would hinder the Brook career as the owner of the test strikes if he would get the white football captain.
Even the director of KEY for men in England floats on the idea that the test leader Ben Stox can take over as the captain in shorter forms while speaking during a press conference last month.
But the 33 -year -old Stokes is currently recovering from tear in the knee strings within six months and must be now able to focus only on preparing for the upcoming red ball chain at home to India and far to Australia.
BROK 26 ODIS played for England, where 816 runs scored at a rate of 34.00 on average, with a score of 110.
He was also a member of the England team who won the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Brock said: “It is a real honor to get a white football captain in England,” Brock said.
“Since I was a child playing the cricket game in Burley-in-Wharfedale, I dreamed of representing Yorkshire, playing with England, and perhaps one day he is leading the team. Until I now gave this opportunity a lot for me.”
He added: “There are many talents in this country, and I look forward to starting, move forward, and work to win the winning series, the World Cup and major events.”
“I am pleased that Harry Brook accepted the role as the white football captain in England through both coordinates. It was part of planning a succession for some time, although this opportunity came at a little earlier than what was expected,” Ki said.
“Harry is not only a great Kricist player, but also has an excellent brain of cake and a clear vision for both teams that will help us push more series, World Cup and major world championships.”
Brook will start his era as a full -time white ball captain with the ODI series against West Indies, starting with Edgbaston on May 29. It will be followed by the T20 series of three games.
