The victims of the post office horizon scandal were invited to bring legal action against the government for delays in compensation.
In an email to the victims seen by Sky News, the activist of the post office Sir Alan Bates suggested that it would be November 2027 before all complaints were completed according to the current rate of progress.
He told them that going to court was “probably the fastest way to ensure equity for all”.

The problem was not unique to the Glo regime, said Sir Alan, saying that the problems of administration and demand besets the four plans for the victims affected in different ways by the miscarriage of justice.
