Skin care rates are already on a record level in the United Kingdom, but melanoma cases should increase even more this year.
Part of the problem is the large number of clear -skinned people living in countries with high level of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, experts warned.
Cancer Research UK warned in 2024 that a significant number of cases in Great Britain result from an exposure to a sun bed.
Fortunately, early detection is one of the most important factors to improve the results of the disease, and Dr. Danny Guo described exactly how certain symptoms behave.

In a recent clip Tiktok, the double -board certified dermatologist said: “It is not a button, and it is not sebaceous hyperplasia or a cyst either. It is a basal cell carcinoma.
“This is the most common type of skin cancer, and although you mainly see it in older patients, I see a good number of patients with it in their thirties or even younger.
“They generally present themselves as a wound that does not heal, continues to grow and can even bleed spontaneously.
“These cancers are not likely to spread to other organs, but they will continue to grow and destroy everything on their way – so they are certainly not mild.
“Make sure you use sun protection as a preventive measure and consult your dermatologist if you notice suspicious places.”
Part of the reason why melanoma is so serious is due to its high potential to spread to other parts of the body.
The condition often comes from melanocytes – cells responsible for giving the skin its color – and generally occurs in the skin exposed to the sun.
In some cases, however, it can also develop in other areas such as mouth, intestines or eyes.

“Skin cancer can spread to fabrics nearby or other areas of your body if it is not caught early,” notes experts at the Cleveland Clinic.
Left untreated, the condition can become fatal in as little as six weeks.
Although the most common signs of the disease are new moles or new moles or pre -existing shapes, melanoma can present itself very differently depending on the affected body part.
If the condition manifests near the lungs, for example, it can call shortness of breath, while melanoma on the head can cause headache or vision changes.
