Nottingham: The coach of the Nutinghamsheire team, Peter Morris, expressed his signature from the experienced Pakistani football player Mohamed Abbas for the boycott championship this year, describing him as a player “brings consistency, control and a deep love for the game.”
Speaking to Geo News in TRENT Bridge Nottingham, Peter praised Abbas’s ability for economics talismans, and the balls instead swing all kinds of tracks.
“Mohamed Abbas is a very good new football player who creates a lot of pressure and gives you control of the game. This is the role he knows well, and I look forward to going to him,”
Abbas, 34, will play with Nutinghamsheire in six boycott championship matches in the first section. It is scheduled to join Notts in May as part of the Red Ball Fear team for three championship matches and will return to Trent Bridge again in September for three other matches in the closing stage of the tournament.
He said that the club was tracing Abbas for several years, and he even approached signing it early. “Mo has got a lot of qualities, and I think we have seen him in the cricket game in the province for several years so far. It is always good against us,” Morris said. “It is actually funny – we have identified it almost a few years ago, but this did not explode. So Abbas finally reached the Trent Bridge and playing for us is exciting.”
Abbas, who is known for his ability to swing the ball in both directions and maintain narrow lines, is seen as a direct alternative to Australian escalation, Fergus O’Neill, who is scheduled to leave after the fourth Nutinghamsheire match for this season.
Abbas represented Pakistan in 27 test matches claiming exactly 100 share. In December 2024, he was summoned to the national duties for the South Africa tour after a three -year gap. In the match series, he grabbed 10 share of 6/54 in the first test.
In addition to his contributions to the field, Morass emphasized the ABBAS experience and his personality as major origins. “Anyone with this kind of international experience offers a lot. Every time I spoke to him, he showed that he is a real student in the game and loves it. Players love him not only have a great experience, but they are often happy to share this knowledge with others – and this is something we definitely look forward to.”
Abbas, who has played the last test for Pakistan in March, is currently to spend his work period with Nottinghamshere, and is expected to join the team in the first week of May.
Morris said: “He is already training, doing his things, and preparing.” “He will have about a week or so before he goes. It is interesting, that his first match will be against his old boycott, Hampsheer – so that it is a delicious one.”
When asked about long -term probabilities, Moores remained open. “There is always potential. You are trying to build relationships with good players who can return and become part of the club. It is not only about individual talent, but rather a strong team spirit – and more puts all these boxes.”
Earlier, Abbas signed the Nottinghamshire CCC for the 2020 season, but because of the roaming epidemic he was not able to play with them, and the following year with the reduction of the travel restrictions, it was cut by the Hampshire CCC where it remained in the following four seasons.
