The parent company of Pontins appeared before the court after being accused of guilty manslaughter.

Eighteen people were injured on the Brean Sands site of the holiday company in Somerset in February 2019, when a section of 40 meters of structural conduits and ceiling fell into an entertainment area.

Wendy Jones, a 68-year-old grandmother, was one of the six people transported to the hospital at the time. She died the following August.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said that the unleashed ceiling sections expressed live electric electrics.

The parent company, Britannia Jinky Jersey Ltd, is accused of manslaughter between companies between January 1, 2015 and February 21, 2019, and was billed last month.

The accusation alleys that society was in “gross violation of its duty to take reasonable care of the security of Wendy Jones”.

He also alleges that the company “exhibited Wendy Jones at the risk of death after the collapse of ventilation ducts”.
