Elon Musk said he was determined to stay as Tesla Managing Director for at least five years, while the electric car manufacturer faces consumers’ pressure and the stock market with his work with the government of Donald Trump.

During a video appearance at Qatar Economic Forum organized by Bloomberg, a moderator asked: “Do you see yourself and have you been committed to being always CEO of Tesla in five years?”
Musk replied: “Yes.”
The moderator added: “Without a doubt on this subject?”
Musk giggled and replied: “I can’t always be there if I died.”
Tesla brought the weight of indignation against Musk on her work with Mr. Trump as part of his government’s efficiency department (DOGE), which has implemented cuts through the American federal government.
When asked if the reaction made him think twice about his involvement in politics, Musk said: “I did what should be done.

Musk spent at least $ 250 million (187 million pounds sterling) supporting Trump in the presidential campaign and even organized some of his own campaign rallies.
“I’m going to do much less in the future,” said Musk. When asked why he replied: “I think I did enough.”
And he added: “Well, if I see a reason to make political expenses in the future, I will do so. I will not currently see any reason.”
