Javelin Thrower and Olympian Arshad Nadeem won the best Asian athletic title by Asian Athletics, in appreciation of his exceptional achievements.
This honor was granted during an official ceremony held on Sunday in Jumi, South Korea. The award recognizes the performance of the distinguished Arshad and contributions to athletics in the Asian region.
He moved to his official account x, he wrote: “He supervises the award for” Best Male Sports in Asia “by Asian Athletics. I am modest and recharged to make better offers.”
The ceremony was held in the wake of the Asian athletics meeting in South Korea, with a highlight of its position as one of the senior athletes on the continent.
The event was attended by many prominent figures, including Major General (retired) Mohamed Akram Sahi, Chairman of the Athletics Board of Athletics in South Asia, who was present at the meeting where the award was presented.
The occasion was also attended by Brigadier (Retd) Wajhat Hussain Sahi, President of the Athletics Federation in Pakistan. The Secretary, Colonel (RTD), was Shahjan and Salman Iqbal Bot, among the other prominent attendees.
This prize adds to the ARSHAD growth list and highlights Pakistan’s growing athletics.
It is appropriate to mention that Irshad is the first Olympic gold medal in Pakistan and the first medal in the country in athletics in the summer games. He won the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 with a jaw number 92.97 meters.
So far, he won four gold, one silver, and four bronze medals in various events, including Olympic Games, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, South Asian championships, and Asian U20 championships.
Guidance is scheduled to compete in the AFC Athletics Championship in the upcoming South Korea, and Pakistan will continue to be represented on the international stage.
