More than 100,000 kitchen taps have been recalled because they could lead to dangerous levels of lead exposure according to three notice Posted Thursday by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Three models of different taps, made in China and sold under the brands, Vfauosit, Kicimpro and Basdehen, were determined dangerous after tests revealed that they contain lead that could flee the supply of water and cause damage to young infants and children. No injury has been reported so far.
Ingestion of lead can “cause harmful neurological effects on infants and young children, including attention -related behavioral problems, the decrease in cognitive performance and weaker IQ”, explains the CPSC in reminder notices.
The taps recalled were sold for around $ 40 on Amazon.com between January 2024 and May 2025 by Whisper08 sellers, Kicimpro and Chenfeng. Reminders, published on May 29, affect around 103,000 products. Amazon and two of the sellers contact known customers who bought the items directly to inform them of the recall.
Consumers are advised with the taps to stop using them immediately and contact the seller for a refund. Consumers will have to provide a photograph of elimination to recover their money, the three suppliers declare in their respective recall opinions.
“Until these taps can be replaced, consumers should only consume water taps after pouring the water for 15 seconds,” advises the CPSC.

Customers can identify if they have a product recalled by looking for their Amazon purchasing history for the product name, “vfauosit” for example, as well as “kitchen faces”.
