Melbourne: Todd Greenburg, CEO of Cricket Australia (CA) again, confirmed Australia’s commitment to strengthening cricket relations with Pakistan, through bilateral rounds and greater participation of Pakistani players in Legue Biger (BBL).

Speaking to reporters, Greenberg confirmed that Australia will tour Pakistan next year to obtain a series of white football and highlighted the importance of this bilateral relationship.

“We are touring Pakistan next year to get some white cricket game, which I think will be great. The 2022 round showed the warm environment and welcome, and our players love it,” he said.

Greenberg also touched on the challenges facing Pakistani players in participating in BBL due to the lack of restrictions on the NOC certificate (PCB), but they said Cricket australia actively looking for solutions.

“We welcome more Pakistani players in Belbel. They have huge followers here in Australia, especially among the local Pakistani society,” he said. “There are talks that are now taking place to attract players, and we hope that some of this will meet for the next BBL season.”

He also stressed that nationality or asset should never be an obstacle to building a world -class championship.

“Our goal is to bring the best players to BBL, regardless of where they came from. Insert the Pakistani stars will be great for the league and teams.”

Greenburg’s comments come at a time when Pakistani cricket is a strong global imprint, and Australia is looking forward to taking advantage of this relationship – for the growth of the wider and cricket diplomacy.
