
On Sunday, the Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem star attributed his great victory in the Asian Athletics Championship to Pakistan.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Nadim said: “Because of all your prayers, God made me successful in the finals, and gave respect to Pakistan, when I won gold in the Asian Athletics Championship.”
Javelin star made the nation proud to win the gold medal in the Asian competition final, where he ended a strong throw of 86.40 meters in his last attempt.
Nadim, who holds the Olympic record after a brutal throw 92.97 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympics, gave less than the Asian Championship record, which is 86.72 meters.
In his message today, Javelin Thrower said that the results of the nation’s prayer and the hard work of his coach, Salman Iqbal Pot.
“This was my first competitor since the Paris Olympics, and God achieved victory for Pakistan,” he said.
The gold medal, Nadim, returned to the homeland through an international airline. Upon arrival at Alma IQBAl International Airport, he received an exciting welcome.
It is appropriate to mention here that Nadim has become the first Pakistani in more than 50 years to win a gold medal in the Asian Athletics Championship, where he celebrated the first gold in Pakistan since 1973 when the country got the leading decorations in throwing spears and 800 meters – God won it Dada and Mwhams Younis, respectively, during the event.
It is also the first Olympic gold medal in Pakistan and the first medal in the country in athletics in summer games.
So far, he won four gold, one silver, and four bronze medals in various events, including Olympic Games, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, South Asian championships, and Asian U20 championships.
