
Karachi: SANA Mir Mir Captain Captain Captain in Pakistan made history on Monday as the first Cricket player from her country in the Hall of the International Crystate Council (ICC).
This announcement came during a concert at the World Test Championship, where seven new recruits were unveiled by the legend of the West Indies Ian Bishop.
She was recruited alongside colleagues in 2025 including Indian Dhoni, Sarah Taylor from England, South Africa Hashem Amla and Grim Smith, Australian Matthew Hayden and Daniel Vitori New Zealand.
The former founder around whom all independents, who represented Pakistan about 15 years ago, joins a group of only 14 women and the eighth Pakistani in general to receive honor.
A revolution has caused a gynecologist in Pakistan during its 15-year-old career from 2005-2019, where she recorded many records, including becoming the first Pakistani woman to top the Paulge ODI classifications in 2018.
She is still a pioneer in the Pakistani in Odis for women with 151 scalp and was the first Asian woman to play 100 T20 international.
As a eight -year leader, Mir led Pakistan to Asian gold medals (2010 and 2014) and led the team in the five World Cup T20 and two of the ODI World Cup.
Her leadership produced prominent moments, including the first ODI victory in Pakistan against South Africa and qualifying for the 2017 World Cup, as it proved 5/14 against decisive Scotland.
“Whoever played the cricket game in the streets in Pakistan to this moment today, it was an incredible journey,” Mir said during the ceremony. “This is a very emotional moment for me.”
Sana Mir retired in 2019 as one of the most decorated athletes in Pakistan, as she also worked as a gynecological and mental health awareness defender.
Mir joins seven Pakistani crochet players in the Hall of Fame: Imran Khan, Asim Akram, Javid Manad, Abdul Qadir, Zuhair Abbas, Qar Younis and Hanif Muhammad.
