
Former Pakistan Akram Akram admitted on Thursday the artist behind a recently unveiled statue, despite the extensive criticism of the sculpture on social media.

“A lot of talking about my constructed statue at the Nias Stadium, Hyderabad. It is certain that the mine is better than the tiger,” as published on X.

Australia has a history of placing statues of their iconic players outside their stadiums, while India has revealed one of the main cafes of Sachin Tendulkar outside a stadium in Mumbai in 2023.
