PSB launches more than 30 million rupees as a reward reward for athletes and coaches – Aitrend

Karachi: Pakistani Sports Council (PSB) distributed 30.83 million rupees to athletes and coaches during the fiscal year 2024-25 according to national sports policy.

These prizes were awarded to 29 medals and their coaches for distinguished offers and brought things to Pakistan in various international competitions.

Payments were made on various occasions between November 2024 and May 2025.

Haider Ali, who won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, received 5 million rupees. Noor Zaman won 5 million rupees for winning the Squash World Under-23.

Among the other prominent beneficiaries were Mohamed Asif, who won 2,500,000 rupees to win the IBSF World Snooker, and football player Mohamed Rayaz, who won 2,500,000 rupees in special boxes on the Prime Minister’s instructions after he sold videos sold by Gilbeis on social media.

The novice squash team who won a bronze medal in the Asian Squash Championship for each of its four members – Abdullah Nawaz, Annas Shah, Shahallah Tarin, and Nawan Khan – 375,000 rupees.

Training staff, including the coach, Fahim Gul and the assistant coach Farraz Mohamed, received 125,000 rupees for this achievement.

The same coaches received additional payments of 833,000 rupees for each of them to direct a time to the U -23 World Championship title.

In Taekwondo, 12 winners of the medal in the Asian Open championship received prizes ranging from 500,000 rupees to 2 million rupees, as training staff also received their share of the prize money.

Haroon Khan led the beneficiaries of 2 million rupees, while seven of his teammates got 1 million rupees each. The training team, including coach Youssaf Karami and his assistants, participated in a million rupees in appreciation of their directives.

The general manager of PSB Yasir Pirzada emphasized the systematic nature of these awards. “Our disbursement follows the graduate bonus structure of national sporting policy, which explains the level of competition and the importance of completion,” he explained.

Looking at the future, DG PSB has confirmed plans to distribute 10 million rupees in the coming weeks, before the end of the continuous fiscal year, for other athletes wandering in the country, including Javelin Arshad Nadeem and Special Olympic medals.
