The owner of the television producer behind Squid Game: The Challenge and Call The Sage-Wife is one of the contenders in circulation Whisper, the firm founded by the broadcaster Jake Humphrey and the former race pilot David Coulthard.
Sky News learned that Redbird IMI has submitted an offer to Whisper Group, who has been exploring a sale for several months.
Sources have indicated that the auction process was at a critical stage with a buyer potentially selected in a few days.

Redbird IMI, who hoped to take total control of the Daily Telegraph before a change of law on media ownership only meant his participation in the state of Abu Dhabi had to be restricted, already has All3Media, the television production giant behind a series of successful programs.
However, his interest in whispering would have been expressed by Redbird IMI rather than being carried out using All3media as a buyer.
Redbird is now in the advanced stages of taking control of telegraph newspapers, IMI restricted in the possession of a maximum participation of 15%.
The identity of the other tenderers for Whisper was not clear on Thursday evening.
Whisper Group was created in 2010 and won a BAFTA for its women’s coverage in 2022.
He works with KPMG advisers on an agreement.
Whisper is already 30% by Sony Pictures Television, which acquired participation in 2020.
Sony replaced the Indie growth fund of Channel 4 as an investor in the company.
The majority of Whisper’s actions belong to its founders and its management team.
The company is best known for its sports productions and is responsible for the cover of Formula 1 of Channel 4 as well as international cricket, boxing and paralympic games.
Whisper employs around 300 people and has operations in London, Cardiff, Manchester and Riyadh.
Its general manager, Sunil Patel, co -founded the producer alongside Mr. Coulthard and Mr. Humphrey.
It is said that it plots an additional expansion in sport in the form of more important events and rights, as well as in events, where its customers include Red Bull.
Whisper also focuses on the growth of his presence in the United States, where he is currently working with the religion of Tom Brady’s sport, and in the Middle East, where he is associated with Neom and Saudi teams.
Apart from sports rights, he produced documentaries on Ben Stokes, the captain of test cricket in England, and Sven-Goran Ericsson, the late Football Manager.
He also diversified in entertainment programming, producing the Gameshow makeshift wheel organized by Graham Norton.
