Mondelēz Global LLC, the parent company of Ritz Crackers, recalls four sizes of cardboard sandwiches of Ritz peanut butter because of incorrect labeling which could cause allergic reactions.
The affected boxes, which have been manufactured in the United States and sold nationally, include individually wrapped packs which can be poorly labeled as “cheese” even if they can be a variety of peanut butter, according to federal health officials.
In an alertThe United States Food and Drug Administration noted that allergic people or severe peanut sensitivity could be at risk of “serious or fatal allergic reactions by consuming this product”.
