My favorite catering chain is … Express pizza! I haven’t been for a while, but I have a lot of love for that and so many good memories there. This is the smell that allows you, balls of freshly cooked dough – if nostalgic. I generally receive an American hot style pizza. It is such a safe refuge – it’s cheap, cheerful and, essentially, all those who grew up in London spent their childhood with Pizza Express.
My favorite supermarket product is … Maggi Liquid Seasoning, which you can get almost all large retailers. I put it on everything – fried rice, some poached eggs or even at the base of a very good sauce just to lift it a little.

My simple recipe for cooking at home is … A puttanesca. I always have these ingredients at home, so normally I don’t even need to go to the supermarket. You can simply attack your wardrobe – Find a beautiful box of anchovies, a pot of capers and canned tomatoes. If you have parmesan and parsley bark in the refrigerator, you can collect everything quickly. This is what I tend to eat when I come back late for work for a snack.
My cheap place favorite to eat where I live is … Dom’s Subs for a £ 10 sandwich. I think they have a few now but I go to that of Hackney Road. It is such a good value, between £ 9 and 14, but these things are absolutely massive, filled directly at the edge. I generally receive something like the grapes, a super spicy submarine filled with Thai chicken chicken, gem lettuce and part of their house mayo, then all the pickles, peppers and crispy shallots you need.
If I say, come and dinner … I am the one who takes care of you and that I want to be welcoming, so if you extend empty -handed, it suits me … Food will always be provided and it is more a good time together.
The best city in the world to eat is … Chiang Mai, Thailand. The food was cheap and delicious. More than that, there is a shared culture of people who so deeply care about the food they eat and the time spent eating together. This is not something you really get in London, but in Chiang Mai, all farmers, schoolchildren and city people all sit together and eat in the same places.
A restaurant in the United Kingdom is worth exploded is … Trinity in Clapham. One of the best meals I have ever had. Many people would agree that he should really have two stars.

The most difficult moment of my career has been … in Emile during COVID and the closed restaurant. When things opened after the first locking, it was a total shock of reality to redo these hours and stand for so long. It really made me think if it was the career for me. When you work, work, work, then everything stops, can you really come back to a 60-hour week? It is a big fit and you really have to love this lifestyle. Looking at the restaurants I liked to close was so hard.
A classic dish that I don’t really like is … smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. I love them individually but not combined. Textive, I don’t think they really go together. In addition, the toad in the hole is something with which I could never get on board.
My controversial food opinion is … Bacon on burgers is the worst thing in the world. It simply does not belong to it. I love Bacon sandwiches, I would take one every day of the week. Have a good hamburger with a very good ox, but I don’t know why someone would put bacon there. Most of the time, it’s soft or absolutely cremated and everything falls when you try to eat it. Good quality beef has enough flavor in itself so that you do not need to add the bacon!
The best leader in the United Kingdom is … Cynthia Shanmugalongam in Rambutan, a Sri Lankan restaurant at the district market by emphasizing open cuisine. I am always surprised by what she does and a big fan of food that comes out of her kitchen.
