Mr. Holt is widely considered internally as the most likely candidate to win the head race of KPMG International, although a source warned that he could still choose not to stand.

His second term executing British and Swiss companies from KPMG – which merged last year – is expected to expire in September 2029.

The initiates of the company are now starting to speculate on potential successors to manage the British arm, which ranks among the greatest jobs of professional services in the country.

Mr. Holt has held the position since 2021.
