YouTube agreed to pay $ 24.5 million (18.1 million pounds sterling) to settle a trial brought by Donald Trump after having prohibited his account after the riot of the Capitol of January 6.

The mother company of Google Alphabet is the third technological company to settle with Mr. Trump on what he perceived as an illegitimate muzzle of him online after the riot.
He was also suspended from Meta and Twitter platforms, movements that saw him gravitate towards his own social media platform – Truth Social.
The president and his supporters falsely argued that the 2020 elections were stolen.
META – Who owns Facebook and Instagram – agreed to pay $ 25 million (18.6 million pounds sterling) to settle Mr. Trump’s trial, and X (which Twitter became after being bought by Elon Musk in 2022) was satisfied with $ 10 million (7.4 million pounds sterling).
Alphabet boss Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg de Meta and Musk all attended the inauguration of Mr. Trump this year, the latter having been a key contributor to his electoral campaign in 2024.
He led the Trump administration DOGE for cost reduction unit in the first months of 2025.
