Pakistan unveils six-member squad for the Asian Winter Games – Aitrend

KARACHI: Pakistan has announced its six-member squad for the 9th Asian Winter Games, scheduled to be held from February 7 to 14 in Harbin, China. The delegation includes athletes and four officials.

Muhammad Karim will compete in the Alpine skiing competitions on February 8-9, while Muhammad Shabir will represent Pakistan in cross-country skiing from February 8-12.

Pakistan Olympic Federation appointed Air Commodore Ashar Jameel, Secretary General of Pakistan Winter Sports Federation, as head of the mission. Muhammad Abbas will be the team’s coach, and Asmaa Akram will be the protection officer. Rabia Nasir, an official at the Pakistani Embassy in China, was appointed as an attaché to the National Oil Corporation.

The Asian Winter Games will see athletes from all over Asia aspiring to claim top honors in various winter sports disciplines.
