Pakistan Test team captain Shan Masood has expressed his determination to win the upcoming two-match ICC Test Championship series against West Indies by a 2-0 margin.
Masood, who led Pakistan in 10 Test matches, made these remarks while speaking Geographic News“Sajil” program with the host, Mr. Yahya Al-Husseini.
The left-handed batsman said he had a lot of regret after he almost won the first Test in Centurion against South Africa, but lost in the end.
He added: “But this is not the first time this has happened to us. Our team has lost matches from strong positions against Australia and Bangladesh as well.”
When asked about the 205-run opening partnership with Babar Azam in the second innings of the Cape Town Test, Masood pointed out that had the middle order shown more resistance, Pakistan could have set South Africa a high target for victory.
