Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to retain the title of the world’s highest-paid footballer, with reports claiming the Portuguese star will “earn €550,000 per day” under a new contract to extend his stay with Al Nassr.

Al-Nassr’s new contract will reportedly guarantee 183 million euros per year for the 39-year-old striker, which equates to (15.25 million euros per month, 3.8 million euros per week, or 550,000 euros per day).

Ronaldo’s reported new deal translates into even more interesting numbers in Pakistani rupees, as the Portuguese will earn Rs53.07 billion per year, which equates to Rs159.5 million per day.

However, the above economic insights are only part of the package, as Al-Nasr have also offered the star striker a simple ownership stake of five per cent, in a bid to show their confidence in his leadership and commitment to the team.

This development came after it was reported that Ronaldo set a condition for renewing his contract with Al-Nasr, as he asked the Saudi club to strengthen its team in order to compete with the major league teams such as Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

According to international media, Ronaldo wants to surround himself with famous names. One of them could be Brazilian Casemiro.

The defensive midfielder’s contract with Manchester United runs until next year, but the 32-year-old has not played a major role at the club under coach Ruben Amorim.

Reports also suggest that the Brazilian is no longer seen as a key player for United and could therefore be let go by the struggling Premier League club.

Ronaldo and Casemiro have made 122 appearances together over the years for Real Madrid and United and have scored a total of seven goals together.
