
Lahore: Impressive performance in the Asian Road Bicycle Championship, Pakistani bike passenger managed to secure sixth place – the best in the country ever in the tournament – by winning six medals.
Pakistani bike passengers won gold, silver and bronze medals each in the championship held in Thailand.
The cyclist, Ali Lailayas, won gold in the individual time experience (ITT) and managed to secure the silver medal in the IRR.
Gold came in Ilyas in Mr. Master Open (35-39 Age) after completing a 21.4 km cycle in 26 minutes and 30.556 seconds, and the average speed of 48.44 km/hour to finish one minute and 14 seconds before Thailand Narongdat Sangchai , Who won the silver medal.
Meanwhile, Raba Garib got gold and silver in IRR and ITT categories, respectively.
Zainab Rizwan’s Pakistani biking passenger won two bronze medals in ITT and IRR.
One of the bronze medals came in the age of 40-44, as it finished the race in one hour, 15 minutes and 13 seconds.
