What happens when you put a childhood fan in charge of their club?
They discover that it is not so easy to run after all. And the fans with which you sit many years ago are still as impatient.
Anger has been repercussions exactly a year since Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos organization obtained daily control of football operations in Manchester United.
Fans are furious to increase the prices of tickets.
A charitable organization helping the former players had cut off.
And the basic staff – many faithful for years without premier league wages – have been swept away with 250 more to come and warnings to come.
Sir Jim made unpopular decisions – but he would say necessary – decisions to put the club on a healthier financial basis while injects 80 million additional sterling pounds.
Ice cream
Being the face of excess of cost reduction and eradication can be damaging in a deemed manner while the American family, always with majority property, derives even more deeply in the shadows.
The Glazers are blamed for discomfort and debt in charge of a club which is one of the largest money manufacturers in world football.
This week, United Financial Update on the New York Stock Exchange has revealed that it should earn more than 650 million pounds Sterling this season.
But it has also shown that debt has climbed more than 730 million pounds and has now cost more than 1 billion pounds to service in the past two decades.
The money was exhausted from the club – for ice cream – rather than, perhaps, invested in upgrades of Old Trafford or in a new stadium, because its competitors have built more sumptuous and more lucrative places.
Sky News correspondent Mark Stone confronted the executive co -president Avram Glazer for what was a difficult year for the Red Devils.
When asked if he would sell the American businessman said: “No.”
He remained silent when asked if he feared that Sir Jim made matters worse, and did not respond to him if the glazers should be confronted with more blame – as opposed to Sir Jim.
The British businessman bought a 27.7% stake in the club in February of last year and took control of sports operations. Later, he increased it to 29%, but the Glazers remain the club owners of the club.
Wader and off the field
Ineos now plays catch -up, trying to accelerate the essential infrastructure upgrades, especially on the training field, which has seen the female team temporarily withdrawn.
But United did not lack money to spend on players, for the male team.
They have had the highest net expenditure of all English clubs since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 with more than 1.2 billion pounds sterling – but without being able to add to the 13th Premier League titles he won.
In summer and winter transfer windows, Ineos supervised the arrival of 200 million pounds sterling of new talents for the men’s team.
And yet the team is in its worst form of the Premier League.
They have never been so low during a season – in 15th place with 12 defeats in 25 games.
This in the context of decisions that can be considered as tanned or quickly recognizing errors.
Erik Ten Hag was maintained as director of the male team in summer after abandoning a dismissal plan after their victory in FA Cup.
But he still went in October – a change that cost 21 million pounds sterling when you take into account the release costs of Ruben Amorim by Lisbon Club Sporting.
It was not the only heavy remuneration bill.
Their choice for the sports director – Dan Ashworth – cost approximately 2 million pounds Sterling in Newcastle United.
But then, it was abandoned after only five months, which, we discovered yesterday in new accounts, cost an additional 4 million pounds.
Fan fury
No wonder the confidence of supporters who protested against glacissers is now dismayed by “mismanagement” by the new leadership while taking care of a lot of blame on the family based in Florida.

And that, when they are invited to pay more to attend matches in the discoloration facilities.
“Fans should not pay the price of a problem that begins with our paralyzing debt payments of debt and is exacerbated by a decade or more mismanagement,” said united supporters.
“It’s time to freeze ticket prices and allow everyone – players, management, owners and fans – to put themselves behind United and restore this club where it belongs.”
INEOS – The petrochemical giant that transformed Sir Jim into a billionaire – has a lot to convince to show that they are on the right track in the second year in United.
And there could be the pain to come to see Liverpool match their record of 20 English titles.
Can ineos rebuild a team and supervise the construction of a new stadium without losing sight of the mission – to restore the greatness of United?
And the glacists are as tight as ever – but now rinse with an additional 1.25 billion pounds sterling by selling 29% in Sir Jim while it takes the heat.
