
Pakistan achieved a historic milestone by winning the Davis Juniors 2025 Cup, and beat Indonesia 2-1 in the constipation final.
With this victory, the team continued to be defeated throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional skill, design, and teamwork.
As a result of this victory, Pakistan has now qualified for the Asian/Oceania Asia Davis qualifiers, to be held in Kazakhstan from 19 to 24 May 2025.
The tournament will include the 16 best teams from Asia and Oceania, as it competes for a place in the global group.
Expressing his happiness, Pakistan captain Shuhazad Khan said: “I am very proud of how children play from start to finish. Their dedication and hard work pays fruits.”
The President of the Pakistani Tennis Federation (PTF) congratulated Ayam Al -Haqaqi, the team, on his historical success, describing him a moment of tremendous national pride.
He praised Michael Ali Big, Abu Bakar Talha and Hamza Roman, alongside Captain Shuhazad Khan, for their commitment and flexibility, with a focus on the fact that the presence of Pakistani tennis on the global stage is strengthening.
With the highlight of the last progress in Pakistan in international competitions, PTF president indicated that the team finished sixteenth in 2023 and five in 2024, and now it appeared as heroes in 2025, which represents a major penetration.
He also confessed to invaluable contributions from ATP coach Robert Davis and ATP coach Eduardo Laluk, who conducted an intensive training camp in Islamabad in February 2025.
Moreover, the Director General of the Sports Board of Sports in Pakistan (PSB), Yasser Perza, was estimated for his fixed support in facilitating this international training initiative, a decisive step in tennis development in Pakistan.
“This victory represents a new era for the Pakistani young tennis, as it offered the amazing talent we have and the bright future for young players,” said the Secretary -General of PTF.
