The Organizing Committee announced on Tuesday that the Cricket game in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics will be played in a temporary structure designed for this purpose in the exhibition grounds in Bomona, southern California.
According to a press release issued by the Olympics Organizing Committee, the exhibition grounds in Bomona, officially known as Verlakes, is an events complex on an area of 500 acres in southern California. He hosted the Los Angeles Province exhibition since 1922. It is also a place throughout the year for concerts, commercial, and sports exhibitions and cultural events.
“We have promised the world with incredible Olympic games, and today we are proud to share the plan that will make it happen,” said La28 CEO, CEO. “Los Angeles is the Center for Sports, Culture and Entertainment, and it will provide everywhere for the 2028 athletes and fans games the best possible experience.”
The ICC has welcomed this announcement as the excitement about the return of the Olympic Crikate since it has been confirmed that sport will return to the games after a 128 -year gap.
The sport appeared last time in Paris 1900, when it held one-day match for two days between Great Britain and France-recognized as an informal test.
Both T20 competitions for men and women will include six teams each, with a share of 90 players for each sex, allowing each country to create a group of 15 players.
The full championship schedule will be completed closer to the start of the games.
“We welcome the declaration of the place of cricket in Los Angeles 2028 because it is an important step towards preparing for the return of our sport to the Olympic Games,” said Jay Shah, President of the International Criminal Court.
“Although Cricket is a very common sport, it will be a great opportunity to expand the traditional borders when it features the Olympic Games with a fast -paced and exciting T20 format that should be liked to a new audience.

The return of cricket to the Olympic Games was confirmed in October 2023, as well as the inclusion of five additional sports for Los Angeles – baseball/soft football, football science, lacrosse (Sixes) and Squash.
T20 format appeared in multi -sports events, where both men and women’s competitions were held in Asian Games in 2010, 2014 and 2023. The 2022 Commonwealth games participated in Birmingham in the T20 Women Championship.
