
Karachi: Despite the burning temperatures and humidity by 82 %, contestants from all over the country showed a fixed design as they participated in the marathon race held in DHA, Karachi, on Saturday.

The event, which is part of the One Run Global series, was also distinguished by an area of 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 1 kilometers, highlighting the athletes of various backgrounds, including the expatriate Karachi community, to test the endurance.

In half of the marathon for men, Mohamed Reese ranked first, followed by Riz Ahmed in second place in third place. Meanwhile, Maahnoor Fatima appeared victorious in the female event, where Qandil ranked second and AQsa in third place.

The organizer Shweib Nizami praised the flexibility of Karachi, as the city hosted the event for the second year in a row. “It is encouraging to see Karachi as part of this current global movement,” Nizami said. “We plan to expand this event on a larger scale in the future.”

One Global Global Half Marathons extends across multiple cities worldwide on the same day, enhancing the spirit of unity between the contestants. This year, Karachi’s participants not only raced around the clock, but were also against the weather, proving that the phenomena could even last the most difficult circumstances.
