Pakistani squash players Asim Khan and Noor Zaman are set to compete in the Cape Town Open scheduled to be held from November 26-30.
The upcoming tournament, part of the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) Brass event, features a prize pool of $25,000.
The Pakistani duo is set to make a strong impact against the world’s best squash talents competing in the event.
Asem, seeded sixth, and Nour, seeded eighth, were exempt from the first round and will begin their campaign in the second round, scheduled to take place on November 27.
Asim enters the tournament fresh from his first PSA World Tour title, which he earned after defeating top seed Nick Wall of England in the final of the Charlottesville Open.
Asim’s win marks a major milestone in his career and adds to Pakistan’s rich heritage in squash, a sport in which the country has produced several world champions.
