Donald Trump says he had a “very good” telephone call with Xi Jinping in the middle of their current trade war, during which they agreed more pricing talks.

He said that the two nations had agreed to continue pricing talks and that the two leaders invited themselves to visit their respective countries.
According to the Chinese state media, Mr. XI “stressed that it is particularly important to correct the price of the large ship of China-US relations, which forces us to keep the rudder and to settle management, in particular to eliminate all kinds of interference and even sabotage”.
Xi “said that the United States should carefully manage the Taiwan problem” to prevent the two countries from being trained “in a dangerous situation of conflict and confrontation”.
According to the reading of the call, Mr. Trump “expressed great respect for President Xi Jinping and the importance of the American-Chinese relationship”.
He came a day after Mr. Trump said it was difficult to conclude an agreement with his Chinese counterpart.
“I like President XI of China, I still have, and I will always do it, but it is very hard and extremely difficult to conclude !!!”, said Mr. Trump in an article on Truth Social.
The American president reduced his 145% prices on Chinese products to 30% for 90 days to allow talks, while China reduced its taxes on American products by 125% to 10%.
The trade war has produced strong fluctuations on the world markets and threatens to harm trade between the two nations.
