About 58 million pounds of corn dogs and other sausage products on a stick are recalled in the United States, because pieces of wood can be integrated into the dough, several consumers reporting injuries to date.
According to A Saturday opinion published by the Food Security and Inspection Service of the Department of AgricultureThe recall covers some “state corn dogs on a stick” and “Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Saucisse on a stick” of the Brands Hillshire based in Texas, which is a subsidiary of Tyson Foods.
The contamination problem was discovered after the Hillshire received several consumer complaints, the service notes, five of which involved injuries. The company then determined that a “limited number” of these products included “pieces of foreign wooden stick in the dough,” said Tyson A corresponding announcement – Adding that he chose to initiate a reminder “by abundance of prudence”.

The dog dogs recalled and sausage products on a stick were produced between March 17 and as recently on Friday, according to the recall reviews on Saturday. Tyson, whose seat is located in Arkansas, says that the problem was isolated in an installation located in Haltom City, Texas.
The FSIS fears that some of these recalled products are found in consumer refrigerators and freezers in households in the United States – as well as in certain schools and other institutions. In addition to being sold online and at the country’s retailers, the agency noted on Saturday, these products were also sold to school districts and the facilities of the Department of Defense.

Consumers in possession of “equitable corn dogs of the state on a stick” and “Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Saucisse on a stick” are invited to throw them away or to return them to their place of purchase.
To determine which corn dogs and other sausage products are subject to this recall, consumers must check the product name, use by dates and other identification information published online by FSIS and Tyson. The products recalled should also have an establishment number of “EST-582” or “P-894” printed on the packaging.
It is difficult to know if consumers who have bought these now recognized products will be eligible for a refund. The FSIS claims that consumers with questions about the recall can contact Christina Self, the associate associate director of customer service at Hillshire Brands Company, at 888-747-7611.
